This inner-city venue derives its name from its location, a series of historic warehouses that date back to the city’s gold mining roots. The industrial heritage of the area has been well preserved with historic signage such as a huge door emblazoned with the words "Danger Dynamite", left intact.
The 1 Fox Precinct stretches across two city blocks in the historic Ferreirasdorp district of the city, filled with century-old warehouses that have been cleverly converted into bars, markets, function venues, artists studios and dining destinations.
On offer at the market is a range of stalls serving tasty foods including wood-fired pizzas, pulled pork sandwiches, Greek-style seafood and authentic Durban bunny chows. There's also lots of art, craft and design items available on sale from local artists and designers and you can buy craft beers next door at the Mad Giant. The market is filled with tables both inside the eponymous shed and in the yard outside meaning lots of space for families to spread out and enjoy themselves.
- Open Friday to Sunday 10am until 6pm, and until 10pm the last Friday of the month
