Meetings Africa wins best show award

Meetings Africa, the marketing platform for South African Tourism (SAT), won Best Show at the 2011 Exhibition & Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) Awards.

The EXSA awards, which took place on 3 November at the Sandton Convention Centre, recognise the best exhibition organisers, venues and stand builders, amongst others.

Meetings Africa was judged in the trade category for business to business exhibitions in the 3 000sqm to 6 000sqm range.

Scan On Show, exhibition organisers for SAT, incorporating Meetings Africa and the IMEX exhibition, expressed their delight at the award.

“We were completely taken by surprise,” said managing director, Amanda Margison. “For the first time running this exhibition for South African Tourism, it is an honour to be in this position.”
