Fourth Tshwane International Trade and Infrastructure Investment Conference
As part of its annual business month activities, the City of Tshwane’s Economic Development Department will host the fourth Tshwane International Trade and Infrastructure Investment Conference (TITIIC) at the CSIR International Convention Centre from 23 to 25 May.
Three cities alliance formalised at Indaba
The cities of Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg formalised a “three cities” alliance at this year’s Indaba, addressing the global shift toward urban tourism and the pressures being felt by their respective visitor industries.
The three-year memorandum of understanding between the cities will result in joint marketing and development programmes aimed at establishing the urban dimension of South Africa’s visitor brand and generating demand for each city.
Gauteng’s Cradle of Humankind to donate Sediba fossil casts to the German Museum fur Naturkunde
In what is billed a spectacular closure to the Berlin International Travel Show (ITB), the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site in South Africa (COH WHS) – famous for its unique fossil finds – will, together with the Berlin Museum fur Naturkunde on Monday, 12 March 2012, host the donation of a cast of the Australopithecus sediba fossils, in a spirit of collaborative scientific investigation and a desire to share such treasures with the world.
