“Lets Twist Again” – a tribute to the legends!

Print
ImageShaky Russell and an awesome ten piece cast – direct from the USA, will bring the King, Elvis Presley and other legends to life with his performance of ‘Lets Twist Again’ at the Joburg Promusica Theatre  in Roodepoort from the 3 to 10 October 2008.

Today, rock 'n roll is very much alive. It's foundations having being solidly set by many legends, such as Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Beatles, Roy Orbison and his fantastic voice, Jerry Lee Lewis and his wild piano and let us not forget Buddy Holly, Marilyn Monroe, Chubby Checker, Richie Valens, Creedence Clearwater Revival and much more.

A simple 'C', a minor 'F', and a ‘G’ 7th chord progression can still win a young lovers heart. So too, will this stage show win hearts in this nostalgic romp through the 50's and 60's - the birth of Rock 'n Roll, where greased-back hair, Bryllcream, stove-pipe jeans and milkshake became the essence of new discovery!

'Let's Twist Again' features an awesome live cast of energetic performers and brilliant musicians and is the ultimate tribute show to those brave pioneers of Rock 'n Roll. This hit show has it all, you can expect the best from Cliff Richard to The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Creedence Clear water revival, Marilyn Monroe, Roy Orbison, Chubby Checker, Sha Na Na, and of course the King himself, Elvis Presley and all those legends who originated in a decade of innocence, when people enjoyed life to the full!

The Rock and Roll ball as we well know started rolling in the 1950's. America described it as "music that had a good beat and you could dance to it!" "SHA BOOM-SHA BOOM" went that beat or, "A WOP BOP A LOO BOP" or "DOO WAH DIDDY!"

All you had to do was kick up those shoes to a non-stop nostalgic party and shake, rattle and roll! The very talented Shaky Russell will definitely take you back in time as he did with audiences in Graceland, where he performed in honor of the King himself, Elvis Presley.

Don’t miss, 'Let's Twist Again'- a tribute to the legendary music of the 50’s and 60’s, to get those feet tapping and bodies swaying!

Let’s Twist Again is by far the ultimate tribute show for the entire family!
