Shwe Shwe dolls
This video looks at the establishment of a local-international partnership that supports local communities in Soweto to produce dolls from shwe shwe fabric. The dolls are designed and conceptualised by children and hand-crafted by women who belong to the African Children’s Feeding Scheme project in Soweto that feeds some 31 000 children. The dolls are a wonderful incentive and corporate gift alternative that benefits local people.
