You ANC nothing yet!
Pieter-Dirk Uys
The lecture is inspired by politics, and Uys will reflect on the state of the nation – in his humorous style of course – and will also look at the road to Mangaung and beyond.
“We are more than excited to have Pieter present for us,” says Lonwabo Mavuso, Drama For Life (DFL) projects officer. “As patron of DFL, Pieter has done so much for HIV and AIDS awareness and it’s a privilege for us to have someone so recognised for what he has done at the university and outside.”
DFL was officially launched in 2008, and in five years has grown into an international academic, research and training programme that spans Africa. Through applied drama, DFL engages future leaders in the field to become artists who understand the ethical and contextual issues related to drama, which is used as a learning method, shapes research, and can bring about social behaviour change.
The public lecture starts at 13h00.
