Sandton, sunsets and surreal skies – photo essay
As you drive along the M1 North from Newtown towards the northern suburbs, the landscape of Gauteng changes.
Modern skyscrapers, which have popped up due to the corporate world’s migration to the north, start to appear.
This part of Gauteng shows a new Africa, alive with opportunities and rapid economic growth.
The following photo essay shows images of Sandton and other urban spaces.
Photographer Henning Gouws says he took these photos while learning how to use his camera, and then edited them afterwards to show his true impression of the space: “I guess sometimes you have to look at the concrete jungle without Prada lenses to see its real colours.”
