Red duiker: Serenity, safari and scenic splendour – Gauteng daily snapshot
Gauteng is blessed with spectacular scenery and natural landscapes. The province offers places to be still, places to inspire, places to explore or places to simply revel in nature.
This red duiker was spotted at the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve.
Listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources' Red List of Threatened Species, the numbers of red duiker, also known as the Natal red duiker, have largely decreased due to a loss of habitat as a result of urbanisation.
