Getting around – Gauteng daily snapshot
Doornfontein, meaning "thorn fountain", is a Johannesburg suburb located east of the city centre. Home to Coca-Cola Park (previously known as Ellis Park Stadium) and largely occupied by Wits Technikon, which forms part of the University of Johannesburg, Doornfontein has undergone a substantial transport upgrade of late.

Commuters passing though the area are invited to make use of the Rea Vaya rapid bus service, as well as the Metrorail train offerings.
