Braamfontein sunrise – photo essay
Ever wondered what the sunrise looks like from within the inner city? Obstructed by skyscrapers, the best way to see the morning’s first orange rays is from a high-rise rooftop in Braamfontein.
From this viewpoint, you can look down onto a quiet and empty city, completely different from its usual state of noisy traffic and congestion.
These photographs were taken from the rooftop of the Hotel Lamunu, located in the centre of the South Point Precinct, Joburg's new cultural hotspot.
