GTA launches Green Event Guidelines and all-new business tourism website
The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) today launched a resource that will benefit local MICE organisers and those in the greening business. The Green Event Guidelines Handbook, which was officially launched at the GTA stand at Meetings Africa 2012 today, is a comprehensive handbook for those looking to plan green(er) events.

Well known business and keynote speaker Ryan Hogarth presented the Meetings Africa 2012 stand awards today with exuberance and energy. This year sees the entry of a new stand award category titled ‘The Most Green Stand’.

The BRICS panel discussion kicked of at Meetings Africa 2012 this morning with panelists representing Russia, India, China and South Africa respectively. Unfortunately the respresentative from Brazil, Carlos Ferreirinha, had to return home due to a family emergency.
The discussion was recorded for television and will be screened this evening at 6pm on CNBC Africa, channel 401 on DStv.
