Mozart lovers are in for a treat these next two weeks as the third annual Johannesburg International Mozart Festival kicks off.

Opening today and running until Sunday, February 13, at Wits University’s Linder Auditorium in Parktown, the festival celebrates Mozart’s innovative spirit and features a line-up of note. There are two symphony concerts, two choral concerts, two chamber concerts, a symposium on music and exile and a three-day master class for young soloists taught by Rolf Beck (the festival director) on offer.
