The Vodacom World of Golf is South Africa’s only golfing theme park and provides professional and amateur golf lovers a variety of facilities to improve their game.

Situated in Woodmead between Sandton and Kyalami, the World of Golf was built to PGA specifications and consists of 180 hitting bays. Of these, 138 are Astro Turf mats and the rest are grass tees. (Grass tees are reserved for grass members only.)

The World of Golf also offers three practice putting greens for various speeds – slow, medium and fast – that enable you to test your shots on pot bunkers, downhill lies, and fluffy and wet sand.

Free daily classes are available for those who find it difficult to read greens, and master distance control and the art of putting.

At the World of Chipping, players can work on sharpening their skills on three chipping greens tailored for various chip shots. You can practise chip shots from downhill lies to uphill lies, tight lies and long rough to improve your short game.

The World of Golf’s greenside bunkers, island green and fairways offer a practice area that feels like the real course and, after completing a morning of putting, chipping, bunker shots and distance control shots, you can round off your day’s unique experience by testing your newly acquired skill on the wedge and putt course. This is a nine-hole course with water features, hazards and bunkers that put your short game to the definitive test.
