Rovos Rail
Experience luxury rail travel and hospitality on the internationally acclaimed Rovos Rail. With five-star offerings, wood-panelled coaches and fine cuisine, Rovos Rail invites passengers to take a trip on the most luxurious train in the world.
It offers two restored coaches, each accommodating 72 passengers in “the most spacious and luxurious train suites in the world”.
Passengers have a choice of three suites: the Royal Suites at 16 square metres take up half a carriage and have a full bathroom and private lounge; the Deluxe Suites at 11 square metres have a lounge area and en suite bathroom with shower; and the Pullman Suites (seven square metres) have a sofa-seat that coverts to a bed at night and en suite bathroom with shower.
The air-conditioned suites accommodate two people. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Rovos Rail covers an extensive route network and passengers have a choice of journeys from 24 hours to two weeks. Some routes run from Cape Town to Dar es Salaam; from Mpumalanga to the Victoria Falls; and from Namibia and the Karoo to KwaZulu-Natal and the Garden Route in the Cape.
An added bonus for passengers is a trip to a private station at Capital Park, which serves as an arrival and departure point for journeys (except the Garden Route), where a railway museum is housed.
