Mystic Monkeys and Feathers Wildlife Park
The Mystic Monkeys and Feathers Wildlife Park is situated in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, 85km north of Pretoria. It is home to one of the largest private primate collections in South Africa, as well as a host of exotic bird species and predators, including white lions, Bengal tigers and cheetahs.
The park was founded by animal lover Christa Saayman when she adopted her first pair of golden-handed tamarin monkeys. The park has since been awarded both zoo and sanctuary status. It is also a proud member of the African Association of Zoos and Aquaria.
Visitors can embark on a tour of the park, spend time playing with cubs, bring along a picnic lunch or enjoy a delicious meal at the Tshukudu Lodge Restaurant. A special buffet lunch is served between 12h00 and 15h00 on Sundays at a cost of R120 per person. Snacks, cold drinks and ice creams can be purchased at the park’s kiosk.
The park is also an ideal venue for school tours.
The park is open to visitors every day of the week, including all public and school holidays, from 09h00 until 16h00.
Entrance costs R100 per adult, R50 per child (three to 13 years old) and R80 per pensioner. There is no charge for children under the age of three. All entrance fees are inclusive of a two- to three-hour tour of the park. Visitors can spend 15 minutes playing with the park’s cubs at a cost of R50 per person (no booking required).
Please note: Feeding the park’s animals is strictly prohibited.
