Greenstone Shopping Centre
Greenstone Shopping Centre is a light, airy and modern development in Edenvale that offers a stylish and convenient experience close to the airport and to Johannesburg’s business centre. It opened in 2007 and has become a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
The three-storey building sits atop Greenstone Hill and houses 152 stores, including specialty shops and unique boutiques. There are 4 500 parking bays all within an 80m walking distance of the six entrances for easy access. The centre boasts national retail outlets such as Pick n Pay, Game, Woolworths, Ster-Kinekor, Dis-Chem, Foschini, Mr Price and Clicks, as well as an impressive selection of restaurants.
The 72 000 square metres of retail space translates into a whole lot of shopping. The great location, on the corner of Modderfontein Road and Van Riebeeck Avenue, west of the Edenvale central business district, gives Greenstone Shopping Centre high visibility from the surrounding roads and easy access via the N3, N1 and M1.
For the convenience of shoppers and visitors, Greenstone has two information kiosks in the middle of the centre on the upper and lower levels near Ster-Kinekor and Foschini. The visitors’ kiosk provides assistance with parking-ticket validation, gift card sales, general queries, store directories, wheelchairs and centre promotions.
Greenstone’s facilities – restrooms, walkways, entrances and lifts – are all designed to be wheelchair friendly with specially marked parking bays close to the six entrances allowing for easy access for disabled visitors. Wheelchairs are available on request from the Information Kiosks and Centre Security Office during centre trading hours. The centre also provides unisex baby-changing facilities for parents with children.
Some of Greenstone’s popular attractions include its cinema, arcade, 10-pin bowling arena and indoor go-karting. The arcade and 10-pin bowling provide many hours of entertainment for friends, family and children. The F1 Indoor Go-karting takes place in the undercover tenants’ parking and can be booked for corporate racing, corporate events, team building and parties.
