The atmosphere at Carnival City Casino and Entertainment World is bursting with opportunities of fun. Gauteng’s place of leisure and gaming shouts out entertainment on all levels. Attendees are spoilt with casino games, between different table games and slots. New games are always being introduced, especially games that the whole family can get involved in. Under one covering, culture and amusement fill the room. The Carnival Bar, Fego Café, Giovanni’s, Lotta Foods, and Magic Bar are some of the many places that people can go to and fulfill their appetites. Carnival City Casino and Entertainment World is also very environment conscious, promoting an Environmental Policy. The Pirate Experience with acrobatic tricks was showcased until the end December. This year, Carnival City and Entertainment World is hosting show, What Happens in Vegas, until the end of January, and then The Carnival Comedy Sessions will be throwing jokes around until the 30 January.

This gaming and entertainment facility on Gauteng’s East Rand provides a real carnival atmosphere. It offers more than 1 750 gaming machines and 60 table games, catering to the tastes of high-rollers as well as weekend dabblers.

For those interested in entertainment of a more theatrical kind, the 500-seat Mardi Gras Theatre treats visitors to live dance and musical performances on stage. The multipurpose Big Top Arena is the largest of all Carnival City venues, with a capacity of 5 000 people. This is where indoor events such as boxing, gala dinners and concerts are held. The arena has hosted a number of international boxing bouts, and seen South Africans crowned international champions.

Cinema-goers can catch the latest movies at the casino’s six cinemas, which seat up to 900 people. Restaurants around the casino also cater to varied tastes, serving a variety of indigenous and exotic dishes, including Chinese, Italian, seafood and grills.

Children haven’t been left out of the entertainment offerings. At the complex’s KidZone, children aged from six weeks to four years are supervised while their parents shop, or attend a concert or other event. Children between three and 12 years are fully supervised at the Magic Company. All Carnival City crèches are equipped to keep children entertained – young guests can enjoy carousel rides, train rides, elephant rides or go-kart racing.

The luxury Carnival Club Hotel has 105 rooms, while conference facilities cater for anything from beauty pageants and exhibitions to gala dinners and sporting events.
