Carnival City Casino and Entertainment World is one of the busiest entertainment centres in Gauteng. It boasts top-class entertainment and gaming facilities, restaurants, retail outlets, two hotels, conferencing facilities and child-friendly entertainment.

This gaming and entertainment facility on Gauteng’s East Rand provides a real carnival atmosphere. It offers more than 1 750 gaming machines and 60 table games, catering to the tastes of high-rollers as well as weekend dabblers.

For those interested in entertainment of a more theatrical kind, the 500-seat Mardi Gras Theatre treats visitors to live dance and musical performances on stage. The multipurpose Big Top Arena is the largest of all Carnival City venues, with a capacity of 5 000 people. This is where indoor events such as boxing, gala dinners and concerts are held. The arena has hosted a number of international boxing bouts, and seen South Africans crowned international champions.

Cinema-goers can catch the latest movies at the casino’s six cinemas, which seat up to 900 people. Restaurants around the casino also cater to varied tastes, serving a variety of indigenous and exotic dishes, including Chinese, Italian, seafood and grills.

Children haven’t been left out of the entertainment offerings. At the complex’s KidZone, children aged from six weeks to four years are supervised while their parents shop, or attend a concert or other event. Children between three and 12 years are fully supervised at the Magic Company. All Carnival City crèches are equipped to keep children entertained – young guests can enjoy carousel rides, train rides, elephant rides or go-kart racing.

The luxury Carnival Club Hotel has 105 rooms, while conference facilities cater for anything from beauty pageants and exhibitions to gala dinners and sporting events.
